Chapter 25 Moon Bazaar

Jiang Ming listened to Hong Ling as she placed him in the bed to rest.

"Lay in the bed and don\'t move around. I will get a bowl of water to help wipe the sweat on your forehead," Hong Ling commanded as she left the room, leaving Jiang Ming alone.

"Sigh, this body is really weak. A mere sword formation managed to exhaust me completely." Jiang Ming complained slightly as he stared at the ceiling.

"Do you enjoy peeking that much?"

"No, I was just curious about how you managed to exhaust your spiritual qi."

Xue Daiyu appeared in front of Jiang Ming as she tried to ponder on what happened to him.

She has gotten a powerful cultivation technique from him so in theory, Jiang Ming shouldn\'t have any troubles in dealing with other people.

Jiang Ming showed a bitter smile as he kindly explained his lack of cultivation base has made him powerless.

"Creating the sword formation doesn\'t require much as it only needed spirit stones but to operate it in a more precise control, I would need to expend a lot of my spiritual qi." Jiang Ming said.

"Why didn\'t you just call for me then? I can easily defeat them since they are within the scope of my surroundings." Xue Daiyu asked.

As a house spirit, she was not allowed to venture far away from the house otherwise, she would lose her strength and energy.

However, the incident happened next to the gate which is in her scope of ability to deal with the troubles.

Jiang Ming shook his head and said, "I want to keep you hidden until you are capable of ignoring the restriction of a house spirit."

And he continued, "Not to mention, I need to show them some of my capabilities otherwise, there would be different kinds of people every day, showing up here to cause trouble."

Xue Daiyu gave a confused expression as she doesn\'t understand much.

"You should know the greed of people considering what happened to you in the past, Xue Daiyu." Jiang Ming said softly.

It took a few moments before Xue Daiyu understood Jiang Ming\'s meaning.

"So master deliberately show your prowess to divert any greedy people that have any malicious intent toward you." Xue Daiyu exclaimed loudly.

Jiang Ming nodded his head.

"You should stop peeking at me now and just stay next to my aunt for now. At the same time, continue in cultivating that technique I gave you." Jiang Ming ordered.

Xue Daiyu didn\'t object to his order as she nodded and vanished from the room.

Sometime later, Hong Ling came back with a bowl of water as she glared at Jiang Ming.

"Did you really need to risk your life like this?" Hong Ling complained as she dried the towel from the bowl.

Afterward, she slowly wiped away the sweat on Jiang Ming\'s forehead as she said, "Do you know what would happen to us if something were to happen to you?"

Jiang Ming got up slightly as he patted her head, "I know that I\'m wrong today for my actions. However, you need to understand that sometimes, there are things that one must do for a better future."

Hong Ling remained silent but Jiang Ming could see her eyes were teary before and that she had wiped some tears off before coming inside.

Jiang Ming stopped her hand from wiping him as he placed her next to him in the bed.

"Listen, Hong Ling, I\'m confident that even if those people refused to leave after seeing my sword formation, I still have many tricks up my sleeve." Jiang Ming said as he looked at her.

"Don\'t forget that, you\'re my maid and that you should have complete confidence in your master."

Jiang Ming made sure to exude an aura of domination as he wanted Hong Ling to know that he wasn\'t some garbage young master.

He was someone that stood at the apex once and no one would even dare to cross him, unlike today.

Jiang Ming then pinched Hong Ling\'s nose slightly as he got up.

"Wait, you shouldn\'t get up yet. You need to rest," Hong Ling snapped out of her daze as she tried to convince Jiang Ming to rest and recover his spiritual qi.

However, Jiang Ming ignored her as he left the room. There wasn\'t enough time for him to take it easy and rest.

\'System how many points am I lacking to purchase the necessary ingredients for the Blood Pill.\' Jiang Ming said inwardly.

Ding!

<Player Jiang Ming still need approximately 5000 points to purchase the necessary ingredients>

__

"Hmm, calculate the points I need if I convert my current wealth." Jiang Ming said to the system interface.

It took a few seconds before the system interface showed that Jiang Ming still needed around 3000 points.

Jiang Ming was a bit disappointed to know that he still needed a lot of points.

The ingredients were pricey because of how rare and unique it is as they are located in extreme environments. With his current ability, he would die the moment he stepped foot in it.

As much as he wanted to cure his aunt right away, he was too poor at the moment to do anything yet.

"If only that damn Blood Pill doesn\'t cost 20k points," Jiang Ming cursed loudly as it was basically a robbery from the system.

"Who are you cursing?" Hong Ling, who had just caught up to Jiang Ming, panted heavily as she asked him.

Jiang Ming was surprised by Hong Ling\'s sudden voice as he was focused on how to gain those points rapidly.

"No one, since you\'re following me then let\'s hurry to the Moon Bazaar," Jiang Ming recomposed himself as he walked away.

Sometime later, Jiang Ming arrived at Moon Bazaar after asking a fellow pedestrian nearby for the location.

"No wonder why Chen Peizhi was so reluctant in giving up the store. The crowd is insane." Jiang Ming commented when he noticed there are four floors in the Moon Bazaar and the first floor is already filled with people.
