Chapter 143 - 143: Si Fuqing is not Someone You Can Mess With (2)

The sound reverberated as the shoulder blades on the other side were also crushed.

Liu Zong had no energy left to even scream. His eyes rolled back as his body spasmodically twitched. His internal organs ached as if they were all entangled with each other.

Yu Xiheng removed his gloves. “Clean this up.”

Feng San acknowledged and went to work.

Si Fuqing’s expression was slightly complicated. “So, you really aren’t as powerless as you seemed.”

Yu Xiheng’s wheelchair came to a halt.

He looked up and offered a small smile. “What illusion made you think I lack strength?”

Si Fuqing touched her chin, contemplating. “Perhaps because I’ve been treating you and have often seen you reclined on the couch, so I thought you were frail?”

“Ah,” Yu Xiheng responded, his voice laced with a hint of aloofness. “You seem to have forgotten who helped you when you tripped on the street corner.” Si Fuqing paused, a sudden realization coming over her.

She pressed her hands together in a solemn expression. “I was wrong; Boss, you are very strong!”

Yu Xiheng diverted his gaze. “Let it not happen again.”

The wheelchair exited the sickroom.

Si Fuqing followed behind, pulling out her phone’s memo app to make a note.

[The boss doesn’t like being considered weak. Compliment his strength; this might be a method to secure a future raise.]

She was truly a conscientious employee.

Also, a good master, constantly contemplating how to earn sustenance for her clumsy mythical beast.

Yu Tang was still complaining to Yu Qishan, and Si Fuqing received a call.

It was from Xie Yu.

“Teacher Si,” he inquired, “why didn’t you come today? Is something wrong?”

“I took a leave of absence; I can’t return for a little while,” Si Fuqing thought for a moment before adding, “Follow the training plan I’ve provided. Your second performance is next Saturday. Don’t squander the opportunity; I want to see a better stage than last time.”

After the second performance, the new elimination round would officially begin.

Out of the fifty-five remaining trainees, nineteen would be eliminated.

The competition was harsh.

“Alright,” Xie Yu chuckled softly, but his tone was dead serious, “I won’t disappoint you, Teacher Si.”

Meanwhile, at the Chen family.

The head of the Chen family had just landed at the airport, and before he could even catch his breath, he was forcefully captured by the bodyguards waiting for him.

They forcibly twisted his arms and took him back to the Chen residence.

Despite his attempts to call for help or jump out of the car, he was tightly restrained, unable to move an inch.

Upon finally reaching the Chen estate, he felt a glimmer of hope, but was shocked to see the gates sealed shut, guarded by similarly dressed dark-robed guards.

“What are you doing!” The head of the Chen family struggled, “You’re breaking into a private residence! Don’t you want to live?” What in the world is going on?

“Get in!” One of the guards pushed him, “Enough talk!”

The head of the Chen family stumbled and fell.

After taking several deep breaths, he barely managed to regain his composure.

He looked up and saw Mrs. Chen and other family members huddled on the couch.

A wave of nausea rolled through him, and he retched a few times.

Seeing her husband in this state, Mrs. Chen was even more panicked, her voice trembling. “Honey, what’s happening? I just came home last night to find the house locked. Even our servants have been detained. I haven’t slept all night.”

She had just apologized to Mr. Liu and returned home, planning to send more bodyguards after Si Fuqing, when the Chen residence was sealed.

Mrs. Chen was clueless as to who these dark-robed guards were and what they represented.

They hadn’t mistreated her, but they wouldn’t let her leave either.

Exhausted and panic-stricken after a whole night, she was consumed by fear.

“You woman!” The head of the Chen family rebuked, “What have you done again?”

Mrs. Chen was at a loss for words, “I haven’t done anything, how could this have anything to do with me? I was either shopping or staying at home, what could I have possibly done?”

“Then why is our house being sealed?!” He shouted, “Who did you anger this time?”

Mrs. Chen wracked her brains. “It couldn’t possibly be that wretched girl the

Zuo family adopted, could it? She couldn’t possibly have this kind of power.”

The head of the Chen family’s voice lowered. “The one who’s a celebrity?”

“Yes, yes,” Mrs. Chen stammered, “Even the Zuo family can’t seal the Chen residence; it would have to be a family from Sijiu.. How could that wretched girl possibly—”
