Chapter 97: Miracle Doctor Yu?

Zhang Xiao Qiang was prepared to twist the hand of the old man. He wanted the old man to watch himself bleed to death, to wallow in despair, and regret the day he was born.

However, the next actions of the old man were outside of his expectations. If he wasn’t doing what Zhang Xiao Qiang had assumed he would do, it would mean that he was too afraid of death, and loved all he had.

The old man didn’t try to commit suicide. Instead, he used the dagger to slice the pants that were soaked red in blood, cutting through the cloth like it was nothing. He then removed a gourd from his bag and poured some powder on the wound. The bleeding stopped instantaneously, while the complexion of the old man turned pale. Upon seeing that the powder had taken effect, he then pulled out a black metal bottle, and poured out a small pill from within, before swallowing it. Soon after, his complexion regained its healthy and rosy color.

The bag of the old man was like the pouch of Doraemon, he pulled out yet another cloth package, and retrieved some brick-sized object with pimples on it. He carefully chipped off a part the size of a peanut, crushing it into powder, and applied it directly to his wound.

Zhang Xiao Qiang had been watching with some interest, and the moment the old man applied that powder, the bloody scent in the air had disappeared. Zhang Xiao Qiang was astonished, this was some miracle shit! With this item, there was no need to fear the accidental attracting of zombies with blood. And he wouldn’t have to fret over the women’s time of the month.

“What is this?!” He couldn’t take it anymore and ask.

The old man turned to Zhang Xiao Qiang to reveal a smile uglier than a crying expression: “Oh esteemed lord! This is handed down for generations from my ancestor. It’s called fishy soil. It can cause a smell that can stir even gods when applied to blood. With water, you can mask your body scent. Even dogs can’t pick it up.”

He stopped and saw there was no change in Zhang Xiao Qiang’s expression, before continuing: “Those man-eating freaks, as long as they don’t get within 7 or 8 meters, they can’t pick up the scent as well. As long as you let me go, I’ll give it to you. I’ll even pass you the blood coagulant and the life-saving pill. I will even...”

The old man had not even finished speaking when Zhang Xiao Qiang sent him a kick that knocked him out: “Pei!” He spat bitterly: “You fucking beast, want me to spare you?! Not even in your dreams, old bastard!”

He continued to curse as he took off the old man’s bag and picked up the dagger beside.

The dagger was ordinary-looking, and it lacked luster. It didn’t even have any engravings like the Jing Wei Sword, and the entire body of the dagger was starting to turn black. It was as though it had been left forgotten on some shelf for many years. The handle was something else though, slightly black and moist, and the texture felt like jade. The longer one held it in his hands, there would be some warmth.

He opened up the bag and the outermost item was some scabbard made from leather. As he assessed it, he could tell the rough workmanship. He inserted the dagger into the scabbard and hung it at his waist, intending to use it as a spare.

The various bags contained numerous pill bottles. Other than the pill bottle containing the life-saving pill, Zhang Xiao Qiang did not recognize the rest. However, at the deepest recess, he managed to retrieve something wrapped by tin foil. He opened it and found that there was a layer of oil paper. After peeling the last layer, his eyes went dazed.

“This are bamboo slips?” As he checked out the thing in his hands, he realized that the dozens of bamboo boards were tied together with a thin copper wire. The boards were shiny, and there were some engravings on them. Zhang Xiao Qiang could not recognize the words and surmised that they must be seals.

Since he didn’t understand them, he decided not to waste time looking. He carried the bag while lifting the old man and walked back to the house. When he entered the garden, he saw Yang Ke’er and Yuan Yi standing by the door without a shred of color on their faces. There were 2 puddles of vomit on the floor, and the sour smell wafted through the air. It seemed that the woman in the house had stopped screaming, and Zhang Xiao Qiang felt that his ears had some relief.

Su Qian walked over from the conjoining building, and when she saw the old man of Zhang Xiao Qiang’s shoulder, she was shocked: “Miracle Doctor Yu?” She revealed his background.

Zhang Xiao Qiang was extremely reluctant to enter the house again. He had just caught a mere sight of it earlier and his entire stomach had churned. Now that he was standing and looking clearly, he found himself become even angrier and revolted. The place was some attached room to the kitchen and was usually used to store some beans and potatoes. As long as they were kept well, it would be hard for them to go bad. If they did, they couldn’t be consumed, and it would be a waste.

There were some pickle jars in the corner, as well as some corn hanging from the beam. Beneath the corn, there was a simple wooden bed. A 30-something woman laid on it, her body stark naked. There was only a tattered cotton on her stomach, while the wooden blanks between her legs had been removed to form a hole, where her buttocks were stuck.

Below her buttocks, there was an old-fashioned spittoon, and the contents were the women’s excrement. The smell was rank and filled the entire room, causing one to feel like vomiting.

The woman was plump, and her skin white. She had shut her eyes while lying there, as though oblivious to the world. The constant screaming had robbed her of all energy as well.

She was in a pitiful state. Zhang Xiao Qiang could swear that he had never seen someone in a worse condition before. Yuan Yi and Su Qian could be said to have lived in heaven. This woman was missing her hands and feet. Both her arms and one leg had been broken, while the remaining leg had nothing beneath the knee. Her once-plump thighs were filled with wounds, with only half of it left. Her bone could be seen, and the half that was left was almost scrapped clean of meat. The scene truly caused one’s scalp to be numb.

Where her breasts used to be, there were only 2 bloody wounds. The flesh was revealed, and it was truly horrifying to look. A long bench was beside the bed of the woman, and there happened to be a large bowl of sugar on it. Inside, there was something strange and dark, and a plastic funnel was placed beside the bowl, with a stick through it.

“AH!!!!” Behind, Su Qian had screamed and immediately crumpled to the floor. She began to vomit, and the stench in the room had an additional sour layer to it. This place was really not meant to stay in for long.
